Avocado Shake

AVOCADOS – Packed with heart-healthy, immunity boosting, and antioxidant nutrients, avocado is named one of the best foods to eat in January according to organicgardening.com.  Many like to eat avocado as a dip or topping to their sandwiches, salads, soups, and tacos, but in the Philippines avocado is commonly enjoyed as a refreshing dessert.  For the recipe of my FAVORITE way to eat an avocado… 

AVOCADO DELIGHT

Ingredients:

1/2 each of an avocado, pitted, peeled and sliced

1/2 cup of whole milk

1 tbsp of brown sugar

ice cubes

What you need:

Bowl or Tall Glass (Smoothie)

Cutting Board

Knife

Spoon or Straw

Directions:

Add all the ingredients in a bowl and stir.  Enjoy!

Avocado Smoothie: Using a blender, mix all the the ingredients until smooth.  Add more milk or sugar to achieve desired consistency and sweetness.
